Charitable Purpose

WHĀINGA/ PURPOSE WEST NZ purpose is to improve access to higher education for prospective high potential African Heritage and Diaspora (AHD) students applying to study a full-time course at Aotearoa New Zealand tertiary institutions. Priority will be given to AHD heritage prospective students from disadvantaged backgrounds who may be deterred from going to university because: • They are unable to receive any or adequate financial support from their immediate family/whanau to meet their needs.
