Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Takipu Marae is set aside for Te Aitanga a Mahaki to host tangihanga, church, whanau, iwi, hapu,and community gatherings, weddings, birthdays and other social gatherings, and wananga and community initiatives. Takipu Marae exists to maintain and strengthen the social, cultural, spiritual, physical and mental wellbeing of the members of Te Whanau a Taupara and the communities in which they live. Takipu Marae welcomes individuals and organisations from all backgrounds and all walks of life.
