Charitable Purpose

RDU98.5FM (RDU) is a not for profit, alternative broadcast platform based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Our mandate is to be an alternative to the main-stream, voice for youth and supporter of NZ music. RDU operates on a non-commercial broadcast licence, owned and allocated by Manatū Tāonga. Under section 36 (c) of the Broadcasting Act, RDU fulfills it’s mandate of difference and diversity as an approved funded entity of the platform fund, managed by New Zealand On Air.
