Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The purposes of the Trust are: 1. To provide care and rehabilitation for injured and sick wild birds, and parentless baby birds, from around the Waikato region. 2. To secure funding and other resources for this care and rehabilitation work. 3. To promote knowledge and understanding in the community, as time and resources permit, about the care of birds within the Waikato region, with a particular focus on the care and welfare of native bird species.

We are a bird rescue centre based in Glenview, Hamilton, and receive patients from throughout the Waikato region. Our trust deed requires that we have between three and eight trustees, and we currently have three: Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary.
