Charitable Purpose
Advance education & confidence of children in primary school sector through traditional tactile skills and 3D creativity:
● Develop a feel for how fabric, stitching and song can communicate & support identity, culture, language & literacy.
● Provide an injection of traditional handcrafting and storytelling skills to children at an earlier age (pre-Intermediate) than what is currently available in the NZ Education System

Sew Your Story is comprised of a collaborative team of passionate individuals with skills that traditionally used to be passed down within the family unit. The concept is the creation of Mary Kelleher who leads this team within a partnership with a Primary School, in cooperation with teachers and whanau.
