Purpose & Structure
Charitable Purpose
Our purpose is to represent the New Zealand improvisation community on a national scale by advocating for improvisation as an art form within and amongst the arts and theatre community in New Zealand, by contributing to governing body discussions, participating in and conducting research, and engaging in and leading public conversations about improvisation as an art form.

Entity Structure
Our activities primarily take place in Wellington and service participants from around NZ, and we have a board of trustees based in Wellington and Auckland. Our trust deed states that we can have between two and seven trustees. We currently have four Trustees that constitute our governance board, including three executive positions: president, treasurer and secretary.
