Charitable Purpose

The object of the Guardians of the Bays society is to reduce the adverse environmental effects that arise from Wellington airport and its related activities on the environment. These environmental effects may include but are not limited to coastal reclamation, emissions, noise, stormwater, reduction of visual and landscape amenities and neighbourhood disruption.

Guardians of the Bays is an Incorporated Society constituted on 9 August 2019. We are financed through donations and funding applications. We have two Co-Chairpersons and up to four elected officers. As of 9 April 2022, we have started a Fundraising and Communication Strategy Group which includes two GotB Members.
