Charitable Purpose

WECG exists to return the Waikanae Estuary Scientific Reserve to as natural a state as possible, to provide educational, scientific, research and monitoring activities so that people may understand and respect the special nature of the Reserve; to provide opportunities to schools to participate in conservation related learning activities within the Reserves; and to benefit the community by providing opportunities for involvement in conservation activities.
