Charitable Purpose
To provide leadership and guardianship of the intellectual property of Nga Ara Tipuna, to ensure its intellectual property is treated with the due respect and cultural responsibility required.
To promote community access to, and to foster knowledge of and interest in the cultural identity, history and contemporary understanding of the people of Tamatea/Central Hawke’s Bay;
To support cultural research, of the people of Tamatea/Central Hawke’s Bay

Entity Structure
Our trust deed states we must have at least 3 and no more than 5 trustees. Every 18 months one half of the trustees must resign. From the trustees a deputy chair and chairperson will be appointed.
The Trust will work in partnership with the trustees of Nga Ara Tipuna, to benefit the people of Tamatea/Central Hawke's Bay. We work alongside the Hawke's Bay District Council but they do not control or influence our operations.
