Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

The group's charitable purposes are to (a) promote education to the highest levels for women and girls; (b) encourage and enable women and girls to apply their knowledge and skills in leadership and decision making in all forms of public and private life; and (c) provide assistance (whether financial or otherwise) to any individual association or group, including any Charity with objects consistent with this Trust, which the Trustees may from time to time select.

Entity Structure

The GWW Charitable Trust is the sole shareholder of the company, holding one ordinary share. This confers the right to vote on a poll at a meeting on any resolution. The Trustees are the Directors of the company unless there are insufficient trustees of GWW CT when additional directors may be chosen provided they have an interest in the charitable purposes of the trust. The Directors manage the company and distribute the profits/surplus to the trust to be used for its charitable purposes.
