Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Established in 2012, Te Oriori Trust is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening whānau and communities through cultural-based leadership, self-development, and wellbeing practices. We take a holistic, tikanga-centred approach that draws on the guiding principles of Mauritanga (life force), Wairuatanga (spirituality), Tino Rangatiratanga (self-determination), and Waioratanga (wellbeing). Through these values, we create pathways for positive behaviour change, personal growth, and collective empowerment. Our mahi is focused on reawakening traditional wisdom, supporting self-actualisation, and empowering people of all ages to contribute to stronger, healthier families and resilient communities.
