Charitable Purpose

5.1 The charitable purposes of the trust shall be to keep and maintain in New Zealand a permanent Jazz Orchestra. This is to fulfill a similar role to the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. By this we are referring to a) performance and education, b) bringing the best of New Zealand and international jazz music to the main centres and the regions of New Zealand and c) working with other jazz music trusts to achieve the best outcomes for Jazz representation in NZ.
