Charitable Purpose

Kia ora, Restoration Te Aranga Trust's purpose is to empower our community and improve its resilience and self-sufficiency; through restoration, awareness and education projects. The Trust was originally created to help restore Te Aranga Mihingare Church, a historic site with significant heritage and cultural values. A sense of 'whakawhanaungatanga' or a 'family-community' approach helps guide us.

Entity Structure

We are based on the east coast of the North Island (Wairoa, Hawke's Bay) and have interests in our wider community. Our trust deed states that we must have between three and five Trustees. We currently have four Trustees that constitute our governance and decision making processes; including positions of president, treasurer and secretary.
