Charitable Purpose
The Hokotehi Moriori Trust first obtained Crown recognised mandate in November 2003. The mandate was reconfirmed following hui-a-Moriori and a public submissions process in March 2016. The Hokotehi Moriori Trust and Crown entered into an Agreement in Principle in August 2017. Moriori Imi are now establishing a new post settlement governance entity for the purpose of receiving and managing the settlement redress and governance over the Trust assets.
