The purpose of this Trust is to receive, use and administer the settlement assets received by Te Kawerau ā Maki exclusively for Charitable Purposes, being every purpose within New Zealand that is in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, and that benefits Te Kawerau ā Maki and is charitable in nature - being the relief of poverty, advancement of education or religion, or benefiting the community of Te Kawerau ā Maki.
