Charitable Purpose

Kahu Pūtoi aims to support and advance educational progress for Māori medium teachers throughout Aotearoa - New Zealand. Kahu Pūtoi aims to support all kaiako who teach, or teach through te reo Māori. We aim to support kaiako to kaiako support through the setup of regional localised and national clusters of teachers to advance teacher knowledge, skills and capabilities to support all tamariki learning or learning through te reo Māori

Entity Structure

Kahu Pūtoi Incorporated consists of a group of curriculum and mātauranga Māori experts. The Executive Committee shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and 4 Committee Members We have a home office based in Whakatāne that supports the logistics and daily business. However other committee members also support from their homes. We are a young incorporated society and wish to build our national and regional membership to support our kaupapa.
