The Charity's vision is to prevent plastic pollution in Aotearoa and Oceania and restore the mauri (life force) of Papatūānuku (Earth Mother) and Tangaroa (God of the Sea) by preventing plastic pollution throughout Aotearoa and Oceania.

APPA is managed and administered by a committee comprising of three Officers and other elected members together called “the Trustees”. There is a monthly meeting open to all members. The committee of Trustees meets on a per need basis, and any trustee can call a meeting.
Annual Returns are due within 6 months of a charity’s balance date (financial year-end), or a longer period if an extension has been granted.
