Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

1. Bringing New Zealand’s cultural diversity to life through print and digital media in order to inspire people to be more curious, open-minded and engaged with their neighbours. 2. Create a platform where migrant and former refugees are their own story tellers, to bring authentic and new voices that will educate and inform our society about their journeys and cultural identity. To be in control of their own narratives. 3. To dispel negative stereotyping, preconceived biases and fear that is often passed down through generations due to lack of knowledge or understanding of migrants and refugees 4. Encourage ethnic communities to proudly share their culture and heritage 5. To inform and educate the public, government agencies, education sector and anyone else who works with former refugees or migrants to be more informed of the cultural diversity Aotearoa is enriched with 6. Create more safe spaces for dialogues around migrants and former refugee experiences
