Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To administer, preserve, maintain and develop the land and structures of Te Haroto Marae for the purpose of a)Enabling the iwi to meet for tangihanga, karakia, celebrations and to practice the tikanga and kawa of the iwi; b) manaaki manuhiri; c) provide a physical base to advance the administrative, cultural, economic, spiritual needs and general advancement of the Iwi; d) Develop the current Urupa and future sites; e) Uphold the Tikanga and Kawa of the Marae.
