To secure ownership of a parcel of land contained in an area commonly known as Snowden's Bush, in Brightwater near Nelson, and to have that land vested as a public reserve for recreational and conservation purposes.

Entity Structure

The Snowden's Bush Trust is a charitable trust incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957. The Trust is managed by its Board of Trustees based in the Nelson region. The trust deed states that the Board shall consist of not less than 5 and no more than 10 members. At present the Board is made up of the 8 initial signatories to the trust deed. The Trust Board oversees fundraising and other activities region-wide to further the purpose of the Trust.
