Charitable Purpose
(a) to provide photovoltaic panels and monitoring equipment to schools to enable students to learn about renewable energy and energy efficiency by seeing in real time how much solar energy is produced via the panels;
(b) to provide equipment (software / hardware) that supports the teaching of the Ministry of Education’s Curriculum and encourages students to become engaged in science, technology, engineering and maths subjects.

Entity Structure
The Trust is governed by a Board of no less than five and no more than six Trustees as stated in the Trust deed. The Trust meets no less than three times per year and decisions are made based on a simple majority of those Trustees present. A quorum of four must be present to constitute a meeting. Genesis Energy is the Trust’s major sponsorship partner having committed to a 10-year agreement to support the Trust, covering all administration costs and providing an initial funding fee of $50,000.
