Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To educate and preserve the authentic teachings of Buddism and to provide an environment where by these teachings and courses can thrive. Teach and offer meditation and mindfulness courses to the community. To educate how to awaken the roots of compassion, love and wisdom in the hearts of all attendees to the centre, for the benefit and welfare of all beings.

Our trust deed states that we must have between two and nine Trustees. We currently have three Trustees that constitute our governance board, including three executive positions: President, Treasurer and Trustee. We are a member of the Buddhist Council of New Zealand and Awakening Vajra International which provides guidance and support but does not control or in any way direct our operations.
