Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The objectives of the Matamata Country Music Club is to foster and encourage variety and country music for all age levels. To promote and hold functions and concerts to further these objectives of the organisation. To hold "workshops" from time to time and encourage furtherance of musical knowledge and stage craft within the organisation for members. To promote good fellowship, closer comradeship and a sense of loyalty to the organisation and all club members. To actively promote and provide country and variety music to the community of Matamata by offering free use and access to club assets, e.g. sound equipment and member entertainers and for all community occasions requiring sound and entertainment. To apply for funding to assist the annually held Awards and to promote and extend funding for Overall winners of those awards to the NZ Country Music Entertainer of the Year annually.
