To improve the lives of women and girls through service and advocacy both in our community, in New Zealand and Internationally. The Zonta vision is " A future in which women's rights are recognised as human rights and every women is able to achieve her full potential. In such a world every women is literate and has access to education, healthcare, legal and economic resources on an equal basis with men. In such a world no women lives in fear of violence"

Entity Structure

The Structure of the Ashburton Club follows that prescribed by the rules of Zonta International. We belong to District 16 which covers all of New Zealand. The Club is in the Area 5 part of the National District 16 that includes clubs from Ashburton to Dunedin. Annual elections are held for a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and 4 Directors as the Club Board. The club votes on the Area 5 Director position and the Governor, and officers of the District Board biennially at the D16
