Charitable Purpose

To operate, maintain and administer the facilities, chattels, and environs of the Ngunguru Mare Reservation situated at 60 Waiotoi Road, Ngunguru (Tuateanui 2b1a), for and on behalf of the members and beneficiaries of Ngunguru Marae. As well as to promote activities such as wananga, hui, and other activities that provide for the capacity building of its members in Te Reo Maori, Tikanga Maori, Nga Toi, Matauranga Maori, and Hauora.

Ngunguru Marae Trust is a marae on Māori Reservation Land. The Māori Reservation Regulations 1994 require that where a reservation is a marae the trustees of the reservation shall draw up, in agreement with the beneficiaries of the marae, a charter for the reservation. A copy of the Ngunguru Marae Trust charter is published below. This charter is not a part of the formal rules of the marae as required under s17(1)(c) of the Charities Act 2005.
