Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The advancement of education and singing instruction to men and women in the craft of 4 part harmony singing in 'a cappella' barbershop style and other musical genres. Performing and promoting our art in public & for community organisations for their enjoyment and education. To attract younger men to the craft with a special membership category for under 25 yr olds. Available to advance the craft in assisting secondary school students. Extending the enjoyment of music, both to ourselves and the public.

Entity Structure

Although an independence entity, we are part of a National body, BHNZ and they in turn part of an international body, BHS. Our rules are based on BHNZ principles. We are open to only male singers but our rules provide for female support.We are able to support any charity or charitable cause by any means we deem fit. We do not have a fee but accept donations for our performances. We are able to purchase, acquire or hire such things as music or uniforms for the use of members of our craft.
