Charitable Purpose

To foster , promote , cultivate , organise and control Marae facilities , activities and amenities for the members , and to further intellectual companionship and professional fellowship for the benefit of all members of Te Hokowhitu A Tu Ki Rahui Marae. To provide a place to conduct our hui, church services, to celebrate birthdays, weddings and other appropriate functions. To provide a place for the raising of funds to build, renovate or generally improve or beautify our Marae.

Te Hokowhitu A Tu Ki te Rahui Marae Committee is a marae on Māori Reservation Land. The Māori Reservation Regulations 1994 require that where a reservation is a marae the trustees of the reservation shall draw up, in agreement with the beneficiaries of the marae, a charter for the reservation. A copy of the Te Hokowhitu A Tu Ki te Rahui Marae Committee's charter is published below. This charter is not a part of the formal rules of the marae as required under s17(1)(c) of the Charities Act 2005.
