Purpose & Structure
Charitable Purpose
1.To bring about greater co-operation between the parents, teachers at Lumsden School and the community at large and encourage social interaction between these groups. 2. To co-operate with the Teachers and Board of Trustees of Lumsden School for the benefit of all the children at the school. 3. To co-operate with the staff of Lumsden School and so ensure a better understanding of the mutual problems of parents and teachers in the education of all children. 4. To fundraise for specific purposes in line with the strategic goals and annual plan outlined in the school charter. 5. To maintain the gardens, lawn mowing roster and various minor repairs as required. 6. To co-ordinate the parent contribution roster so that tasks are evenly distributed across all parents/caregivers in the school. e.g baking, sunhats, sports gear etc. All school families are expected to contribute. 7. Generally do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the forgoing objectives.
