Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

SSAANZ strengthens the wellbeing, connection, and resilience of serving and ex-service NZDF personnel and their whānau by: (a) delivering outdoor pursuits, adventure activities, and sporting events — including fishing, hunting, fly fishing, surfing, and alpine activities — that build skills, confidence, and peer connection; (b) fostering comradeship, Esprit de Corps, and mutual support within the NZDF and veteran community; (c) supporting wellbeing and the transition from military to civilian life through peer support and community connection; and (d) identifying and assisting veterans and whānau experiencing hardship or isolation through our Rest, Stand, Clear (RSC) welfare programme.
