Charitable Purpose

Our mission statement is to support the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of our whanau. All our programmes are underpinned by Te Reo Maori, Kaupapa and Tikanga Maori, skills and knowledge of Te Ao Maori and progressive initiatives that improve the current status of all whanau. Our initiatives are whanau owned, whanau driven and whanau measured.

Entity Structure

The structure of Whakaruruhau Ltd is designed to provide our whanau with maximum cultural safety with the placement of experienced personnel who have the trust and wisdom to make decisions in the best interests of the whanau. Managers and/or coordinator positions are flexible. Appointments to these positions are based on the number of projects that are running simultaneously and the suitability of whanau knowledge and skills to the specific needs of programmes.
