Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

(a) To encourage and promote the study of and interest in history generally and of relating to the areas of Huapai, Kumeu, Taupaki, Riverhead and Waimauku (b) To collect and take steps to ensure the protection and preservation of records, pictures, books, pamphlets, buildings and all objects of historic interest; (c) To take steps to ensure the preservation of sites and places of historic interest;(d) To record, permanently, articles, proceedings, discoveries and results of historical research.

Entity Structure

Based in Kumeu-Huapai. Eleven people on Committee including executive positions: Chair, Secretary/Treasurer and a JP. We are affiliated with West Auckland Historical Society Inc. The Constitution does not require any Trustees.
