Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Non profit Hapu based Sporting and Cultural body. Providing a forum for participation in kaupapa Maori sporting opportunities namely NZ Maori RL Tournaments, Koroneihana, Iwi of Origin participation under the banner of Ngati Umutahi, a Bay of Plentry Hapu and Marae based in Matata. Most of our activities are user pays, fundraised or funded via any funding we can seek. We make no profit or money out of our kaupapa but look to cover expenses that enable our whanau and members to participate.

Entity Structure

Committee members are Auckland based consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Membership covering Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Australia. We are affiliated to New Zealand Maori Rugby League which provides the annual tournament we participate in.
