Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To support and facilitate the reinstatement of the Cathedral, recognising its contribution to cultural, social and economic wellbeing in Christchurch, its importance to Christchurch’s regeneration and its heritage value, by the undertaking of fundraising activities, receipt and distribution of donations, and involvement in other charitable purposes related to the reinstatement of the Cathedral.

Entity Structure

The Board will operate out of Christchurch and participate in a Joint Venture to undertake all work associated with the reinstatement. The Trust permits up to nine trustees, of whom one is the Chairperson.
