Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

To hold weekly meetings for seniors in our community in a safe environment and provide a place of fellowship, of fun and of stimulation both mental and physical. We also aim to arrange occasional outings to provide our guests the opportunity to visit places of interest and stimulus, which they otherwise may not have. Staffed entirely by volunteers, HBC Senior Moments is a not for profit charitable trust and only ask payment from its guests to cover costs which are not funded by any other sourc

Our deed states that we must have between two and five Board Members. We currently have five Board members including the three executive positions: Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. The weekly activity programs are held in Red Beach on Mondays and Thursdays and are overseen by 2 volunteer Center Coordinators who are supported by a group of 13 volunteers. We work closely with other community services and charitable trusts such as Age Concern Rodney, Citizen Advice Bureau, GPs, etc.
