Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The promotion and operation of Neighbourhood Support in Motueka and surrounding districts in liason with police, civil defence and the Tasman District Council to promote crime prevention and assistance and communication in the event of natrual disasters. To keep records of members, administer a paid co-ordinator who establishes and supports cell groups in neighbourhoods to encourage sound security and localised support.

Entity Structure

We are an incorporated society run by a committee comprised of a chairperson, secretary, treasurer and committee members. We are affiliated to Neighbourhood Support New Zealand. We have an office at the Motueka Police Station in High Street, Motueka where our co-ordinator who is also a committee member works from, as well as from his home at 8 Apo Place, Motueka.
