Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The charitable purposes of the trust shall be to provide financial and other support to community groups and individuals within the Mangawhai region, New Zealand, to assist them in achieving goals which in accordance with New Zealand law are charitable in nature, whether involving the relief of poverty, the advancement of education or religion, or any other object or purpose beneficial to the community.

Entity Structure

We are the board of a trust formed to create and operate a business that will provide assistance to the local community by inviting application for grants and then making funding available to successful applicants who meet the requirements of our general charitable purpose. The business is an Opportunity Shop and we have five trustees with some years of experience in this field. Now that we are established we generally make grants twice a year.
