Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Our purpose is to provide a toy rental service to local families. We purchase toys and play equipment for the library, and then hire these items to members of the library for a small fee. Our members pay an annual subscription and this is put towards toy purchases, maintenance and hiring of the site. Our committee is made up of volunteers from the community.

Entity Structure

We have a committee (president, secretary, treasurer and general committee members) who hold regular meetings to facilitate the toy library. We store our toys at a local community facility and host regular library sessions where members can hire toys at a small cost. These sessions are manned by volunteers and a paid librarian. All hiring fees go towards costs associated with running the toy library. We are a not-for-profit volunteer organisation.
