Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Our mission is to empower people, in particular our children, with the knowledge of how different foods, activities and behaviours can change their health. Purposes: a.To advance health education by developing an educational tool(s) that will contribute to the reduction in obesity in particular childhood obesity and; b.To facilitate collaboration and communication amongst individuals and organisations who share a concern about the increasing prevalence of obesity especially amongst children;

Entity Structure

Our office is based in Wellington. Our Trust must have between three and seven Trustees. We currently have three appointed Trustees - One Trustee, one Chair and a third Trustee taking the position of both treasurer and secretary. The Trustees have absolute management and control of the Trust Fund however any individual, may be appointed as an officer or employee or volunteer of the Trust. A meeting may be called by any Trustee on 5 working day's notice, Trustees meet at least 3 times/year.
