Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Trust will hold and operate a non-commercial broadcast licence issued by the Ministry of Culture and Heritage to run a community radio station based in Wellington. A condition of the licence is that the radio station must operate on a not for profit basis and benefit the community including discussion of community issues, including political processes, programming aimed to inform, entertain and involve a specified or underserved local community or communities of interest

Entity Structure

The trust deed states between three and seven Trustees. We currently have seven trustees who are experienced in the management of businesses and not for profit entities. The trust will own an operating company to operate the radio station from the company premises at 40 Taranaki Street Wellington. Three of the trustees will be directors of the company.
