Charitable Purpose

The purpose for establishing the Te Puna Waka club was/is to provide opportunities for Te Puna and its surrounding communities opportunities to engage in the culture and tradition of Waka (Outrigger Canoeing, Voyaging) and all its associated activities. We hope to grow capable and confident water users; build family and community relations, promote and nurture healthy families, build leadership, share knowledge and promote Kaitiakitanga of the waterways.
