Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Kiwi Challenge Foundation (KCF) aims to help the ordinary achieve the extraordinary; by providing funding, mentoring and education. It aims to inspire the youth of New Zealand to explore the great outdoors, and to take action on their dreams and realise their full potential. In doing so, it will be developing young leaders, who are promoting active and healthy living.

Entity Structure

The Kiwi Challenge Foundation was founded by Josh Lyon and Rob Hamill in 2015. The KCF will initially operate within the Waikato region, with a nationwide expansion planned in the future. The KCF is governed by the trust board known as the Kiwi Challenge Foundation Trust Board. The number of board trustees shall be no less than two and no more than eight. There are currently three trustees on the board.
