Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

1. To restore as a significant cultural heritage development, the Scow "Success" for the benefit of the Historic River Port of Kaiapoi, and following the grounding and loss of the M V Tuhoe, which had become an icon for Kaiapoi town. 2. To engage in education about the historical and heritage aspect of the Port of Kaiapoi, (a vital port in coastal shipping over many years from the mid 1800's to the late 1960's.) The education is for the general public and especially youth in local schools.
