Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The charitable objects and purposes of the Trust are as follows: To promote and further Hindu Religion, Vedic Dharma, Spirituality, Yoga, Education, Health and Environmental Awareness, mainly in – but not limited to - New Zealand; Diffuse Dharma and the teachings of the Venerable Swami Tilak Paramahamsa and his direct disciple Swami Shankaratilaka Saraswati.

Entity Structure

We have a head office based in Auckland, North Shore, where the temple and the library is. Our trust deed states that we must have between four and six Trustees. We currently have four Trustees that constitute our governance board, including three executive positions: president, treasurer and secretary. We are affiliated with an international registered Charity, the Vedic Foundation of the Himalayas, which provides guidance and support for our operations.
