Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To actively promote interaction between parents and teachers; To provide educational opportunities for parents in relation to their student’s development; To capitalise on the rich diversity that Burnside High School has to offer by embracing a bicultural and multicultural focus; To use the PTA funds to provide improved facilities and opportunities for the school community; To be a voice for parents.

Entity Structure

The PTA operates from the Burnside High School (BHS) campus in Christchurch. All parents/caregivers of students attending BHS and teachers of BHS are members of our PTA. The PTA executive consists of 3 volunteers, viz. a Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary.
