Charitable Purpose

The purpose of the Trust is to lead, encourage and support WWI Commemorations in South Canterbury and any related projects within South Canterbury as may be deemed by the Trustees to be for the benefit of the public. To promote WWI commemorations in South Canterbury. To promote education relating to WWI commemorations.

The South Canterbury WWONE Centenary Committee is a non-profit group consisting of representatives from the South Canterbury Museum, Timaru District Council, Geraldine, South Canterbury and Temuka RSAs and various interested individuals. The Committee was formed to commemorate significant WWI events in which troops from South Canterbury were involved.
