Charitable Purpose

The vision of the Voice for Parents is that all parents are empowered in their birth experiences and parenting, thus enabling positive and healthy beginnings for all new families within our community. The charitable purpose of Voice for Parents is to attain that vision by supporting parents to heal from a traumatic birth.

Entity Structure

We have three directors based in Hamilton who oversee the overall vision and direction of Voice for Parents. Two of those directors support parents to heal from a traumatic birth via workshops, courses and materials, one-on-one and group counseling services, facilitating safe spaces for parents to tell their birth stories and to support and network with each other, undertaking research, education and information for health professionals and others and training birth trauma counselors.
