Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The purpose of Fale Pasifika Horowhenua is to promote and preserve Pacific Island culture and identify the aspirations of all Pacific Island people. Our objectives are: 1. To educate, promote and preserve Pasifika Cultures and Values for the benefit of the general public 2. To promote Pasifika People working together on projects that will promote their social welfare 3. To facilitate improved outcomes for Pasifika People in health, education and for their social welfare Our values are: - Individuals are treated with dignity and their inherited self-worth, intelligence and capacity of choice are respected - Individuals’ freedom of choice are respected although priority is given to the common good if conflict arises - Responsive and accountable to Pasifika people and their needs, and with regards to cultural sensitivities, practices and differences, including religious and spiritual beliefs.
