Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Auckland Shambhala Meditation Centre was established to provide Shambhala Buddhist teachings and practices of the late Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and of his dharma heir, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. The Centre provides public information and meditation instruction, either free of charge or by voluntary contribution. We run weekend programmes, weekly programmes, regular social events and annual retreats. At the moment, these programmes are mainly run by Zoom.
