Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

The Trust is established to manage, operate, and maintain Te Whare Piringa Our Place hall (formerly known as the Glenbrae Scout Hall) as a community asset for the benefit of the public, and in particular for the benefit of the Tamaki Community, by making Te Whare Piringa available for use principally by members of this community. Further to this our Mission is for the enhancement and quality of life for families living in Tamaki; supported by affordable hall hire, services and activities that are delivered in a purposely built community hub.

Entity Structure

We are governed by a Board of locally elected members of the Tamaki area. Our (Trust) Board also manages the hall in the interim to establish the day to day operations of the hall with the intention of employing a manager at a financially suitable time.
