Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

The trust is established to carry out the following purposes within New Zealand, to protect and promote the life and welfare of dogs. -To educate and provide guidance for children, young persons and families about how to approach, handle and treat dogs in a way that minimises the risk of injury to both the human and the dog, and / or help to improve interactions between humans and dogs. To also increase public awareness and understanding of the necessity to stop and avoid cruelty to dogs and of the suffering caused to dogs by the way of ill-treatment, neglect and or abandonment, and overall reduce the number of homeless dogs within our chosen areas of operation. The organisation is governed by a Board of Trustees/Managing Committee which meets regularly. Day-to-day operation of the organisation is handled by an appointed manager/coordinator.
